International Symposium on Oceanography of the Bay of Biscay 16

Dear colleagues,
as a member of the organizing committee of the upcoming XVIth International Symposium on Oceanography of the Bay of Biscay (ISOBAY 16) held in Anglet from June 5th to June 7th, 2018, it is a great pleasure to invite you to join us, and to enjoy discuss about oceanography dedicated to the Bay of Biscay in the charming landscapes of the Bask country.
Many of you already know the ISOBAY series, its spirit, its atmosphere, and the unique chance it offers to established researchers and students to present their research and to enlarge their contacts within the ISOBAY's multidisplinary community. To those who still does not know ISOBAY, it is the chance to join us, and we are sure you will never be disappointed.

The Symposium will take place in the Espace de l'Océan (http://www.espacedelocean-anglet.com/5-21905-Accueil.php) in Anglet. Several accompanying events (icebreaker, dinner, excursions) have been already organized, and will give you the chance to establish fruitful discussions and also know more about Anglet and the surroundings.
In the keynote sessions, short lectures and poster sessions, we will offer a platform for the Bay of Biscay community to discuss state of the art topics in areas such as:
1 - Physical Oceanography and Coastal Dynamics
2 - Geology, erosion, transport and sedimentation
3 - Biogeochemical cycles
4 - Organic and Inorganic Pollution, Ecotoxicology, Eutrophication
5 - Biodiversity and ecosystems functioning
6 - Fisheries and Aquaculture
